A quiet few days

We have had no league matches over this Bank Holiday weekend and it will take me a day or two to catch up with the results from the Open Meetings that some of our athletes will be doing. We are nearing the end of the 2013 summer track and field season, although the next few weeks will be busy enough.

Next Sunday September 1st our under 13 athletes will take part in their Sussex Under 13 league final at K2. Kim Sands will be in charge of the team for this match as Chloe and Janet Hollamby will be at Bedford for the UK Under 15 and Under 17 championships – where I think Lois Drummie is also competing.

The following week sees the Sussex Under 15 league final taking place on Friday September 6th evening – again at K2. Teri Pellett will be contacting you all in the next few days. The following couple of days – September 7th and 8th – sees the Sussex and Surrey multi-events championships taking place at Sutton. We will have 7 or 8 of our athletes taking part.

That still isn’t the end of the season as the English Schools multi-events championships take place over the weekend of September 21st and 22nd and Ryan Spivey will be in action there.

And there may be an Open Meeting at Brighton over the first weekend in October to mark the successful resurfacing of their track – I’ll let you know more when I know more.

What’s happening over the next few days ?

Tuesday August 27th – training for all at Imberhorne from 7

Thursday August 29th – training for all at Imberhorne from 7

Sunday September 1st – Under 13 League final at Crawley
