Vote for Abby !

Abby Beswick has been nominated for the Sporting Moment of the Year in the 2014 East Grinstead Courier Sports Awards. Abby’s Sporting Moment came when she broke a record which was set in 1969 – winning the Under 17 80 metres hurdles in the Sussex Schools Championships in a time of 11.6 seconds. Not surprisingly this time is also a new club record.

So please cast your vote for Abby. You can do this by filling in the form which will appear in the Courier over the next couple of weeks or by following the text instructions which will also appear in the next couple of weeks.

A note about training – now that we are into the autumn we are likely to be getting colder, wetter and windier weather. Everybody coming to Thursday or Sunday training sessions should come to training wearing long trousers and a warm top. You may still be able to train in shorts and a short top, but it is important that you can put on long trousers and a warm top after you have finished training. If you come to training without trousers and a warm top we may send you home.
