Some winter weather at last

Mid-Sussex Primary Schools races last Wednesday at East Court

We managed to put on the primary school races on Wednesday with a zig-zag course on the upper field – the bottom field was still too wet and boggy. The day itself was bright and dry and there was a great atmosphere with parents and teachers making lots of noise during the races to encourage the runners.

We had a few of our own athletes taking part but I don’t yet have the results. Thanks go to Malcolm Green, Alf Smart and Lester Medcalf for helping with the setting up of the course.

Training in the snow on Sunday morning at East Court

The highlight of the Sunday morning’s training was the race to push a snowball up the hill at East Court. I think Erin Harnett was first with the combined effort from Roisin Bell and Tara Deeley close behind.

What’s happening over the next week ?

Tuesday January 19 – circuits session at Imberhorne from 7.30. We expect to be on the track this week.

Wednesday January 20 – Committee meeting at Dorset Arms from 7.30.
