Still waiting for results from last Tuesday’s match

Tuesday evening at K2 for our under 13s

I still don’t have the full results from Tuesday evening’s match in the Sussex Under 13 League at K2. However we had a more or less full team – though we could still do with one or two more boys – and we think we probably came third. We are always going to struggle to beat the teams with a proper track – Crawley and Horsham in particular – and this was again the case last Tuesday.

The team’s next match is a few weeks away on Thursday June 16, this time at Horsham.

County Championships this coming weekend

This coming Saturday and Sunday 14 and 15 May the Sussex County Championships take place at Brighton’s Withdean Stadium. We don’t have quite as many athletes taking part as we normally have but we wish them all well and will hope to bring home a number of medals. The Surrey Championships also take place this weekend at Kingston.

Matches over the following weekend

Looking slightly further ahead the following weekend sees 2 of our teams competing. On Saturday May 21 our under 13s and under 15s go to Lewes for their second match of the season. Then the next day Sunday May 22 we are at K2 co-hosting the senior team’s second match. As we are co-hosting we can do with quite a bit of help on the day please.

Half-term athletics

For those of you in school years 7 up to 11 there is a Combined Events schools meeting at K2 on Wednesday June 1. Details are available on the Sussex AAA website. You can ask your school to enter you, or you can enter directly – entry is free. If you need further information then speak to one of the club’s coaches.
