Another cross-country win for Ethan Scott (updated on Monday morning)

Sussex Cross-Country league

The second set of races in this year’s Sussex Cross-Country league took place on Saturday at Lancing Manor. Great to see that Ethan Scott again won the under 13 boys race though this time the race was a bit closer with Ethan and the second athlete given the same time, and the third athlete given a time one second slower. He was well supported by Cameron Wells, Isaac Lancaster and George Collingwood.

Antonia Deeley was an excellent 10th in the under 15 girls race and we had 3 athletes in the under 11 race – well done to Josh Scott, Emma Wood and Chloe Grantham.

Park runs

I know that a number of our athletes take part in Saturday park runs. One of our oldest active athletes Graham Taylor recently took part in his 50th such run – with the vast majority of them in Tonbridge. Is anyone else close to that milestone ?

(Graham also does lots of other runs – mostly much much longer. For example he recently did a 2 day run in Essex covering 70 plus miles I think it was.)

Presentation and social evening on Friday November 25

We will be holding our presentation and social evening on Friday November 25 at East Grinstead Town Football Club in East Court – the same venue as last year. The evening will start at 7.30 and will finish at about 9.30. All athletes and parents are invited to attend and many of you will receive further details from our secretary Becky Barrow.

What’s happening in the next week ?

Tuesday 15 November – circuits session at Imberhorne gym from 7.30 to 8.30 for invited athletes.

Thursday 17 November – autumn/winter training session at Imberhorne from 7 to 8.30 for all age-groups.
