Looking forward to better weather this week

The weather again interferes with our training sessions

We were expecting snow last Thursday. It may have arrived a little later than we were expecting, but within an hour it had made its presence felt. We had no choice but to cancel the Thursday session and we did our best to let everyone know. If you somehow managed to turn up at Imberhorne then we’re sorry you had a wasted journey.

The weather also led to the cancellation of Saturday morning’s jumping session at Imberhorne – the hard frost on top of the snow being the main culprit.

The Sunday morning session at East Court was able to go ahead even though it was wet and cold. Well done to the athletes who took part.

Let’s hope that the weather is much kinder this week.

Additional feature of this week’s activity are some schools cross-country championships. On Wednesday a number of our members will be helping with the Mid-Sussex Primary School Championships which again take place at East Court. We will set up the course (and dismantle everything after the races) but, unlike our October races, we are not responsible for any of the admin.

On the same day the Sussex secondary school cross-country championships take place in Brighton. We have a number of our members taking part and we wish them all well.
