The summer season’s nearly here

Just a few days to our first track and field match of the summer

The summer season is nearly with us and our senior athletes (which includes anybody in school year 10 and above) start the season on this coming SATURDAY APRIL 14. We go the Sutcliffe Park track in Eltham in south-east London.

And then a week later on SATURDAY APRIL 21 the under 13s (years 6 and 7) and under 15s (years 8 and 9) start their season with a match at Ashford in Kent.

And to complete things our under 17s (years 10 and 11) and under 20s (years 12 and 13) have their first match on SUNDAY APRIL 29 – when we go back to Sutcliffe Park.

A reminder of our training sessions

A reminder that we will be back training at Imberhorne on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8. And Tuesdays for all athletes will start on TUESDAY APRIL 17 at Sackville School from 7 to 8.

And Saturday morning jump sessions at Imberhorne and Sunday morning sessions at East Court have now finished.

Sussex roads relay championships

We were able to field 2 teams in the road relay champs at Christ’s Hospital last Saturday – in the under 13 boys and under 15 boys races. 3 athletes make up a team with each runner running a mile. Isaac Lancaster, Charlie Polton and Noah Englishby-Allen were the under 13s and Michael Sullivan, Joe Lawrence and Joe Lancaster were the under 15s. While no medals came our way all the athletes ran well and we did better than we were expecting.
