Sussex County Indoors Championships coming up – and summer season now only a couple of months away

Sussex Indoor Championships on February 16 and 17

We had a late flurry of entries for next week’s indoor championships at Sutton and we wish all our athletes well – with a few medals we hope. Our athletes taking part are Amelia Barton, Scott Clark, Isaac Lancaster, Mya Lake, Grace McCullough, Harry Rogers, Dorian Szatmari, Rebekah Tyler and Cameron Wells.

Sussex Cross-Country League

The last cross-country league match of the winter took place over this last weekend at Bexhill and I’ll bring you news when I can.

Half-term school holidays coming up

The half-term school holidays will soon be with us – so just a reminder that our normal training sessions continue over that holiday period.

Summer Fixtures

All club members should recently have received details of all of our summer fixtures. Please make a note of them and do your very very best to be available for most (and perhaps all) of the matches.

Officials Training Course at K2 on Sunday March 31

In the next few days we will be sending out to all members (and in particular parents) details of a forthcoming introductory course for athletics officials at Crawley’s K2. We do need more people to become qualified officials to help with the events that we have to judge at our various league matches – timekeepers, track judges, and field events judges for the throws and jumps.
