Changes to training sessions start this week

Change in training sessions this week

All members should have received a note recently telling you about changes to training sessions after the Easter weekend.

Firstly there will be Tuesday evening training for everybody at Sackville School from 7 to 8.

Thursday evenings continue at Imberhorne but the timings have changed. School years 6 and 7 will train from 6.45 to 7.45 while the distance runners will train on the Imberhorne playing fields from 6.45 to 8. Other athletes will train from 7.30 to 8.30 or 8.45.

These new Tuesday and Thursday sessions will continue for the rest of the summer.

It’s time to renew your membership

You should now be playing your membership fees in time for the summer season. Paying by bank transfer is the simplest but you can also pay by cash or cheque on training nights. New club members will also need to buy a club vest (and you can try one on at our training evenings).

Next match on Saturday April 27

Our next match will be for our youngest athletes – school years 6, 7, 8 and 9 – on Saturday April 27 at Ashford in Kent. Team managers have been in touch with our athletes and we hope to have a good number of athletes at the match. For some of the athletes this will of course be their first experience of club athletics. We wish them all well.

Sussex County Championships on Saturday and Sunday May 11 and 12 at K2 in Crawley

The Sussex County Champs will soon be with us. Entries have to be made by Monday April 29 at the latest – so if you are thinking of competing there isn’t that much time to do so. More details on the Sussex AAA website – or talk to one of the coaches.
