When does autumn/winter training re-start ?
We now know when we will re-start Thursday evening training. We will re-start on THURSDAY OCTOBER 10 – under the floodlights at Imberhorne Upper School of course. From 7pm to 8pm.
The middle distance group will also meet at Imberhorne at 7pm and most weeks they will then go out on the surrounding roads.
Sunday morning sessions at East Court will start on SUNDAY OCTOBER 20. They will start at 10.30 and finish at about 11.45.
We are investigating the possibility of Tuesday evening training as well over the autumn/winter – we’ll let you know when we have final details.
And we have some dates for matches next summer !!
With the 2019 summer season only just finishing we already have dates for some of our matches next summer. The provisional dates for the senior matches (which are for adults and those in school years 10 and above) are as follows:
Saturday April 18
Sunday May 17
Sunday June 7
Sunday July 12
Saturday August 15
Not surprisingly venues are still to be arranged.
It is always possible that some of the dates could change, but you will notice that there are due to be 3 Sunday matches next year – normally there is just one Sunday match.
World Athletics Championships
A reminder that the World Athletics Championships start this coming Friday September 27 and finish on Sunday October 6. The BBC has full coverage of the championships, though I don’t think Eurosport will be covering them. I am looking forward to lots of TV watching – will this be the time that Jonathon Edwards will finally see his 1995 triple jump world record beaten ? (And the ladies triple jump world record could also be broken.)
